If you have Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura, did you know that the food you eat could be contributing to your Low Blood Platelets ?

When it comes to what you feed your body not all foods are the same…not even close. Even though you thought eating was good for your health, gave you energy and helped you to survive, it totally depends on what you eat. Some foods are so toxic to your system that it might be better for you to give that meal a miss.

The wrong type of food actually acts as poison to our bodies and produce free radicals in our system. In order to combat the free radicals the body’s immune system springs into action and creates inflammation, just like when you get a splinter in your finger and it flares up or when you get a flu virus) Your immune system trys to defend your body against the enemy causing the inflammation. When this happens all the time the inflammation becomes chronic and the immune system starts to break down manifesting this problem in many ways. As a result of this constant battle the body produces a chronic autoimmune response such as ITP disorder with the accompanying Low Blood platelets, arthritis, cancer and virtually every modern

disease known to mankind.

Guess what foods can create such a problem?

Foods with Chemicals in them, such as food additives, colorings, preservativ es, and pesticides. Modern convenience foods fall in that category. Just read the label of any box in the supermarket. Also fast foods are culprits. They have many chemical additives for longer shelf life and economy, not to mention all sorts of fillers. Highly Processed food, such as all the modern convenience foods. Not only do they have an abundance of chemicals but the have been prepared at extremely high temperatures and have also had many natural components removed from the original food. Then a few synthetic vitamins are added as a token gesture. this type of food is extremely unnatural to the body. Over cooking your food. High heat destroys all of the live natural enzymes necessary to sustain a healthy life. It is recommended that at least 60% of your diet be raw foods. Foods which contain sugars, both natural and unnatural such as high fructose corn syrup. Sugar is known to compromise the immune system, and over the long term will poison the body. Foods that your body is sensitive to, not necessarily allergic but intolerant. Even if you already eat a healthy and natural diet you must be really aware that some foods commonly believed to be healthy could actually be causing you harm, such as dairy products and whole grains. These foods, your body could actually have a intolerance to and will therefore act as anantagonist to your system causing an auto immune response. (somewhat like a allergic reaction). This will cause inflammation and if you continue to eat antagonistic foods your inflammatory condition will become chronic and cause your immune system to break down. It is common knowledge that food sensitivities create diseases. There is a larger percentageof people than you could ever imagine that have food intolerances and don’t even know it. A prime example is gluten intolerance,( an intolerance to the gluten in grains). What we do know is that out of every 133 people in the world 1 person will have gluten sensitivity. What about all of those people who are sensitive but are not diagnosed that go through life feeling less than100% until finally their immune system can’t take it any more, and rebels causing low blood platelets, cancer, arthritis, lupus etc. This intolerance problem could be festering for years until it is almost finally too late.

If you have ITP and low blood platelets, perhaps it’s time to re-think just what you are putting in your mouth as food.

It’s time to seriously take stock of what you put in your mouth! What’s in your pantry and fridge?

By: Maggi Pier

About the Author:

Most medical doctors nowadays are giving much attention to food allergies and intolerance unlike before. Although there is no particular drug that can be used as treatment for food allergies, there are other alternatives that can be pursued to control your addiction to certain foods. Some doctors also prescribe vitamin supplements and other drugs that can be helpful in controlling your cravings for certain foods.

Jonathan Brostoff and Linda Gamin wrote a book which was published way back in the year 2000. It’s a book all about food allergies, food intolerance, and their treatments. If you want to get invaluable advice to achieve long-lasting and dramatic health improvements, this is the best book to add to your book collection.

This book explains how food sensitivities cause misdiagnosed and chronic ailments like migraines, persistent fatigue, and sinus problems. It also features a gradual process of identifying certain food allergies, intolerances, and helps you reshape your diet to achieve better health.

Some chronic ailments like the ones mentioned above remain elusive, and doctors find it quite hard to diagnose such ailments. If all conventional tests can’t provide comprehensible diagnosis, the likely culprits are food intolerance and food allergies.

You can find clear explanations about the causes, differences between allergies and intolerance, and various case studies on certain problems that the readers are quite familiar about. Most importantly, the needed solutions or treatments for such problems are also provided. Many charts and illustrations are provided, including an elimination diet divided into three stages and a gradual reintroduction food system.

If you suspect that you have a persistent condition that is linked to any dietary sensitivity, this book can provide you with the necessary information that you will need in achieving sound results. You’re not only improving your health, but your life as well.

Most critics gave the book high ratings and they claim that the texts are thorough and detailed. The critics recommend the book for public health collections and for the general consumers. If you’re studying about food problems and allergies, this is a must-have that you shouldn’t miss. Of course the book can’t please everyone, and there are those that say the book lacks adequate examination of complementary and/or alternative practices which most readers and allergy sufferers are looking for in a book.

Many consumers also gave the book high ratings. Most of them claim that it’s truly a helpful book that it unlocks the door that leads to the better understanding of food intolerance and food allergy.

The good news is that the book is sold at approximately $20, and is shipped to you in twenty four hours. If you can’t afford it, you can settle for used copies, but make sure that you get it from authorized dealers.

The authors of the book are Brostoff and Gamlin, and they are an honorary professor/consulting physician and biochemist respectively. Brostoff is highly recognized as the leading authority on intolerance and food allergy internationally while Gamlin specializes about health matters, allergies, and immune system. Gamlin is also a well respected writer.

So if anyone in your family suffers from any health condition and you think that it is brought about by food allergy, or perhaps food intolerance, don’t hesitate to buy the book. This is the key to discover what causes such health conditions.

By: Jack Sands

About the Author:

Having any kind of food allergy can certainly crimp eating habits, but for most, it’s something that is just dealt with without too many problems, especially when the allergy is developed at an early age.

A food allergy or any kind of food intolerance can be mild or severe, and many people are allergic to foods and don’t even realize it. Mild symptoms like an upset stomach or heartburn is common after eating particular kinds of food, but most people don’t equate such as an allergy. However, there’s a difference between a food allergy and food intolerance, and the public in general should know what that is.

The body has an unusual response to an allergy that is caused by the body’s immune system and comes with specific and sometimes extremely uncomfortable symptoms that occur within minutes of eating sensitive foods and include hives and rashes. A reaction may also induce asthma and weakness or lightheadedness, and in some cases, anaphylactic shock.

Excessive swelling in body tissues, including the larynx, which can cut off oxygen supply, causes this condition, and while most people don’t suffer such severe reactions, many people allergic to nuts, especially peanut butter or shellfish can develop these symptoms. The sudden drop in blood pressure can be deadly.

Additional common symptoms also include itching and difficulty swallowing. Nausea, and on occasion, vomiting results, along with abdominal pain.

Food intolerance is not quite the same as a food allergy and is caused not by the immune system, but by other body systems. Symptoms of food intolerance may be gastrointestinal problems like diarrhea and stomach cramps. Many babies and young children are allergic to milk and soy products that can lead to colic and poor growth. Almost twenty percent of infantile colic, or chronic crying at night, may be due to those babies allergic to milk or soy products found in most powdered baby formulas.

The most common culprits in adults are shellfish, such as shrimp, crab and lobster, and nuts that grow on trees, like walnuts and acorns. Other foods like fish and some meat are also common allergy sources. Nuts, especially peanuts are to be blamed for more severe allergic reactions in many patients.

If you think you may be suffering from any type of food allergy, first try to limit your intake of such foods and see if that helps relieve symptoms. If you’re not sure what is causing allergic symptoms, a visit to your doctor will more than likely initiate a series of skin-prick or scratch tests which will introduce particular food allergens in minute quantities into your skin to watch for local reactions.

While having a food allergy may at times put a damper on eating habits, millions of people around the world suffer from one sort of or another and lead perfectly happy, normal lives. Once you know what you’re allergic to, just avoiding such foods may relieve symptoms of food allergy, and nothing more is necessary or required.

By: Riley Hendersen

About the Author:

As the saying goes, “you are what you eat,” so effectively people should eat only what is good for them. But, is the quality of food intake and the knowledge of what is proper for the body enough? Food intolerance is a reality that must be addressed.

Unfortunately, food sensitivity is often mistaken for some other problem, which can prove costly and in some instances, even deadly. All of that is addressed through the use of Histame, the answer to food intolerance.

Everybody is aware of the discomfort caused by digestive problems. Most people have experienced it, and it might even have caused embarrassment. Whenever people experience digestive discomfort, they usually point to the usual culprits: peptic ulcers, diarrhea, and constipation, when often the discomfort is linked to food sensitivity.

Food sensitivity is rooted in the high levels of histamine in the food consumed. Histamine is usually found in processed foods, another example of the negative effects of heavily processed food. Heeding the calls to cut down on these types of foods is well worth considering.

Masquerading as a food allergy is one of the properties of food sensitivity. A high number of food allergy symptoms are easily mistaken for food intolerance symptoms. The role of Histame in combating these signs is essential to the proper understanding of the difference between them and its successful reduction of histamine levels easily separates it from the many antihistamine products available on the market. It is definitely the treatment to take for food sensitivity.

Whether the discomfort is excruciating or negligible, the list of food intolerance symptoms is all too common and definitely worrisome, though far too often people do not connect these prominent signs to food intolerance.

When people experience headaches or dizziness, they do not connect these reactions to food sensitivity, though they are a message from the body that histamine levels are beyond the safe level. The same goes for some skin problems and the tired, weak feeling people sometimes get, all of which may actually be symptoms connected to food sensitivity.

The use of Histame should be decided by health professionals for it to be most effective. The distinction between food allergy and food sensitivity is for doctors to determine – whether that uncomfortable feeling after a large dinner is one of the many food intolerance symptoms. Let’s eat to that.

By: Daniel Marcus Manson

About the Author:

An allergy takes place when the immune system suddenly has an abnormal response to a certain material that is usually not detrimental to most individuals except those who have allergies. When an allergy is triggered by a substance or allergen, a person’s body recognizes this as a trespasser and subsequently releases chemicals to fight off the “trespasser” causing symptoms that can range from a simple irritation to a fatal reaction that may even lead to death.

Food allergy is a reaction made by the immune system in which antibodies are produced by the body as a result of a negative effect to some foods. Though there are many individuals who claim that they have food allergies, there are only a few who really have certain allergic reactions to food. Most people confuse food allergy with food intolerance. Food intolerance and food allergy are both sensitivity reactions to food, but intolerance to certain types of food does not affect the immune system and isn’t really a life threatening incident.

As of the present time, the medical world still has not found any cure for food allergies. Allergy management only involves the prevention of intake of food allergens and some diet modifications.

Looking closely, during an allergic reaction, the body’s immune system releases antibodies, specifically immunoglobulin E. It subsequently causes the production of chemicals like histamine in the process of “protecting” the body. Now, these chemicals are the root cause of symptoms which may include an irritation in the eyes, skin, throat, lungs, and the gastrointestinal organs. These takes place whenever the individual is exposed to the allergen.

Although any type of food can cause allergic reactions to different types of individuals, there are eight major foods out there that are often the main culprits of an allergic reaction. These eight major allergy-causing foods are: fish, soy, milk, wheat, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, and shellfish.

By and large, individuals afflicted with allergies react only to some allergy-causing foods. Sometimes, allergy to a certain type of food may also cause allergic reaction to foods that may be related with the allergen food. This incidence is known as cross-reaction. For instance, an allergic reaction to wheat may also cause a reaction to rye. Allergy to pollens subsequently causes an allergy to green apples, hazelnuts, almonds, and peaches. A reaction to goat’s milk may also be associated with an allergy to cow’s milk. And the list goes on and on.

Moreover, individuals who have been afflicted with asthma and/or eczema may also be at risk of developing a food allergy. With bad luck, they would probably have a reaction that is more severe than those people who only have food allergy to worry about. This is due to the fact that when an allergy takes place the person will be under stress which then may lead to triggering their asthma and/or eczema which will aggravate the situation.

But the intensity of the reaction will depend on some circumstances like the individual’s sensitivity threshold to the food allergen, amount of eaten food, and the exposure scale the person has to the food.

Although, there is no cure to allergies, self-discipline and vigilance will help you, the allergy-sufferer, overcome these food problems. There may be some medications out there that alleviate the symptoms but a consultation to the physician will give you a better understanding to your allergy problems as well as treatment recommendations.

By: Jack Sands

About the Author:

The condition is characterized by abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, and pain in the bowels. Often, people with IBS fluctuate between having loose bowels (diarrhea), or becoming extremely constipated.

Prescription medications are often recommended for this condition, yet an easy way to combat and possibly entirely eliminate IBS symptoms is through changing your diet and using detox methods to help regulate your digestive system.

Some of the main culprits of IBS include caffeine, dairy products, meat, and alcohol. These substances are extremely hard to digest and wreak havoc on the intestines. Consuming these substances alone can cause IBS-like symptoms in a normal, healthy body. For those with IBS, changing what you eat and drink can be the difference between a good and a bad day. By eliminating these problem-causing foods and supplementing your diet with lots of greens, fruits, whole grains, and nuts and seeds, your IBS symptoms should improve dramatically. Eating raw, unprocessed foods allows your digestive tract to do significantly less “work” in eliminating what you eat.

In addition to changing your diet, a detox program with a series of colonics can cause drastic changes in your symptoms. Colonics, or colon hydrotherapy, help cleanse the entire length of the colon, removing years of hardened fecal matter than can essentially get stuck on the walls of the colon and interfere with proper digestion and elimination. By cleaning the “pipe” of your digestive tract, IBS symptoms can be resolved quickly and effectively with colonics. Combining herbal detox supplements with colonics and eating raw foods will give you the best results for curing IBS.

Detox programs and colonics are offered at detox day spa Radiance Health Solutions for a fraction of the regular costs of these services.
